Upon arriving in Nozawa Onsen village, we offer a complimentary pick-up service from the bus terminal (please advise at time of booking). One of our friendly staff will greet you upon arrival and assist you with any shopping requirements or other guest services.
The Ridge Nozawa Apartments is also conveniently located next to the Nozawa Onsen SPArena, which incorporates indoor/outdoor onsens (both mixed pools with bathers and segregated), a restaurant and massage chairs. More traditional Onsens are located in the village.
SUPERMARKET
For guests arriving by train, we offer a complimentary supermarket run in our courtesy vehicle for you to buy supplies. Our staff will schedule this with you upon check-in. For further shopping requirements, there is a small supermarket on the main street in the village, which is a 10-minute walk along a heated road.
SKI LOCKER / DRYING ROOM
Located on the lower ground level is a ski locker and drying room, which is easily accessed either by the lift or front entrance.
LAUNDRY
Complimentary washing and drying facilities with detergent are available in the laundry room on the ground level.

SKI LESSONS
The Nozawa Ski School provides English speaking instructors. For families with young children not skiing, the Kids Park and Day Nursery (Yumin) provide parents with a worry-free solution. There is also a Ski-Doo available to the ski school from the main Gondola, which is an easy 8-minute walk.
SKI HIRE
We understand that your ski gear is a crucial element of your holiday, so we recommend Nozawa Sports Thanx for all your rental needs. Located next to the Gondola and only a 10-minute walk from The Ridge, Sports Thanx stocks the best and newest range of skis, ski clothing and snowboard products. All of their equipment is competitively priced and expertly maintained. View rates here. For your convenience, you can also leave your ski gear with them overnight, so you don’t have to carry back and forth each day.
BAGGAGE DELIVERY
If you are stopping over somewhere before or after your stay at The Ridge, we recommend utilising the Black Cat / Yamato Transport courier service to send your ski gear direct from your hotel or the airport. Locate the Black Cat counter at the airport or arrange this quick, reliable and cheap service through your hotel concierge. Turnaround time is 24 hours for Tokyo and surrounds and 48 hours for the airport.
TOURS
Beyond the ski slopes, there are many activities and tour options, such as the famous snow monkeys, hot springs and food tours. Our front desk can provide suggestions and bookings on local tours.
